Coach Beth began her coaching career in 1989 coaching club and high school swimming and diving in Cincinnati, Ohio. She transitioned to water polo in 2016, becoming the first Girls Water Polo coach at Venice High School. She has attended USA Water Polo’s Olympic Development Coaching Camp at the Olympic Training Center, assisted at the USAWP Girls National Team Selection Camp in May, 2019, and has served as a USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program Head Coach for the Southeast Zone for the past two years.
Coach Beth took 2 teams to the the 2019 National Junior Olympics, and the 14u girls won a Silver medal with 7 straight wins in the tournament. Since then she has taken teams to numerous local and regional tournaments, and 8 of her Sarasota United athletes were selected to ODP Regional Teams in 2020.
Coach Beth is a USA Water Polo certified coach and a certified lifeguard, and coaches and is club administrator for Sarasota United.
Coach Marko has coached at multiple levels so far in his career. He coached club water polo in his native Serbia for Pvk Becej club. Prior to this Marko coached the Women’s Water Polo at St. Francis College (Brooklyn, NY).
Prior to coaching, Coach Marko played for the Terriers where he started all four years and earned All-Conference Player and Academic All Conference accolades. He also earned CWPA All Academic recognition his senior year and played in the NCAA Water Polo Final Four in 2010, 2012, and 2013. He also co-captained the 2013 team. Prior to playing for St. Francis, Coach Marko played for numerous clubs in Serbia where he was a member of Serbia’s top ranked junior national team.
Coach Marko is a USA Water Polo certified coach and a certified lifeguard, and coaches and plays for Sarasota United, and also coaches at Venice High School.
Coach Mike has 25 years of experience in water polo as well as 10 years of experience as a water polo referee and 25 years as a US Masters swimmer. He has participated in numerous international tournaments (FINA and Pan Am), national tournaments (USAWP), and masters water polo weekend camps, and over 100 regional and local water polo tournaments. Coach Mike served as an Illinois High School (IHSA) referee for 10 years, officiating 1000+ high school contests and as Varsity boys head coach at Venice High School for the 2019 season.
Coach Mike is a USAWP certified coach and referee , and is also a US Master Swimming certified adult learn to swim instructor and stroke and turn judge. He is a certified lifeguard.

With recent COVID cases raising in the state of Florida, we as a club feel we need to protect our members, families, and public by putting additional safety measures in place. We have not heard of any water polo player testing positive and need every person to attend to these updated safety measures in and out of the pool.
Effective Friday, June 26, we will require the following when attending practice:
1. Wear face masks when entering the aquatic center.
2. The face mask must remain on until we are ready to enter the pool.
3. When on the pool deck you must remain 6ft apart, this includes when taking breaks. You can only be closer than 6ft if the person lives in the same household.
4. No sharing of water bottles, sunscreen, goggles, or any equipment or personal items.
5. Please bring your own pen to sign in at the front entrance to limit exposure to the general public and staff from the shared pen given by the aquatic center.
6. Please avoid touching surfaces, including gates at the pool.
7. Arrive in suit, ready to practice. Use the bathroom before leaving home. If you do use shared facilities (e.g. bathroom), wash your hands for 20 sec with soap and warm water.
8. No physical contact with others such as shaking hands or high-fiving.
DO NOT PLAY if you are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or are a vulnerable individual according to CDC guidelines, contact Coach Beth or Coach Petar immediately.
When not at practice, we also ask you to wear face masks in public spaces indoors (e.g. stores) and outdoors when physical distancing of 6ft apart is not possible.
We appreciate you following the above club COVID rules, we want to carry on playing water polo during these hard times and these rules should allow us to keep doing so. They are in place for your safety and safety of others.

Join us at the North Port Aquatic Center for our 6.5-week Fall-1 Season. We will focus on speed and strength in the water. Weekday practices are for ages 11 and up. Saturdays are for all ages. Five total practices available per week, two hours per practice. All levels will be accommodated.

Coach Petar comes to Sarasota United from Mercyhurst University where he was graduate assistant coach for the men’s and women’s program for the past two years while completing a master’s in organizational leadership with a concertation in sport leadership.
Coach Petar native of Serbia, grew up playing water polo in London, United Kingdom where he played for the West London Penguins water polo club and played national league for the Ealing water polo club. He also played regional water polo for London as a junior.
Momcilovic started coaching for the Ealing water polo club in 2012. He has coached U12, U14, U16 and U18 age groups. During his time with Ealing he helped bring the team to Division III of the national league. The team finished in the top three of the National Age Group Championship three-times. Momcilovic also led the senior and junior teams to win the London league a number of times.
In 2017-18 he was the Regional Head Coach for London U16 and U14 boys’ team. They finished third in the United Kingdom Regional Championships under Coach Petar.
Coach Petar was also the Head Coach for Oxford University in 2017/18 season. Oxford finished third in the British University and College Sports conference and won the Southern BUCS conference. Both of these achievements were accomplished for the first time in program’s 125-year history.
Coach Jeff is an athlete turned ref turned coach. He played Offensive Tackle for Stanford University under two of the best coaches in football, Bill Walsh and Denny Greene. To support water polo in Southwest Florida, Coach Jeff became a USA Water Polo certified referee, leads the referee recruiting and training effort on Florida's West Coast, and was a referee at the 2019 USA Water Polo National Olympic Development Tournament.
Coach Jeff has supported Sarasota United in tournaments including the 2019 National Junior Olympics where he was the lead coach for the U16 girls team. In addition to coaching and refereeing, he led the officials table for the 2019 UANA Tournament in Tampa, FL and has played on the masters team in several tournaments.
Coach Jeff is a USA Water Polo certified coach and referee, and an FHSAA certified referee.

Splashball introduces the sport of water polo in a recreational format.
This introductory program will allow kids to try the sport of water polo and develop a stronger foundation of aquatic skills.

Although water polo is known for its toughness and endurance, Splashball harnesses all the fun, dynamic aspects of the game in a safe, easy-to-learn aquatic experience that motivates kids to swim and stay fit.
All sessions will be held in shallow water.
